Test Flight Video

We, at HurriCraft, continue to push the boundaries of this new technology by developing exciting and innovative products for the HurriMarket. We recently took our mock-up for a test flight. This video may take some time to load - but the wait is worth it!

C.E.O. Reviews Test Flight By: Chris Hunter
The test started out well as we thought it would take some time for the craft to settle down. The air stream behind the test vehicle was not as clean as we had hoped for. But half way into the pre-planned one minute flight we started to notice some stability issues. As you watch the video you can see the prototype try to fly, but the rough air was not the clean, fast air of a hurricane that this craft is designed for. That’s why it looks like the craft is totally uncontrollable. Our Chief Hurrinautical Engineer has already come up with a service pack that he thinks will fix many of the problems. Most of the fixes entail joining the PVC pipe with four-way fittings instead of the current over and under configuration. This will cut the profile of the craft by 50% and should fix the problems.
Those who read our Hurri~News know that in September we lost an early beta version HurriCraft in hurricane Isabel. No doubt he experienced some of same issues we saw in the test flight. His last known position was in Canada and with hunting season under way we are hopeful some hunter will find him soon.
We were planning more test flights, but due to unexpected legal problems we have committed to building a full size test HurriCraft that we will test to destruction - just to prove how safe flight in a hurricane can be! Lastly, thank you for all your kind e-mails! We will be posting some soon!
