Hunter's Flight Detained
January 31,
2004 - HET News
WASHINGTON - Five U.S.-bound flights from Britain and France were
canceled Saturday because of security concerns. The U.S.
government said it had fresh indications of al-Qaida's
continued interest in targeting commercial planes flying to
the United States
Despite the terrorist threats, the HurriCraft Corporation
feels the real reason for detaining the flights was only to
interrogate Hunter on his plans for the HurriCraft.
There has been much competition between the US
and British officials regarding the HurriCraft
and Hunter's progression in the field of
Hurrinautics. Hunter had recently appeared at a
conference in London on "Hurrinautic's Advancement of Society"
and "Developing the future through Hurrinautics" which was
held in London's QEII conference
center.
HurriCraft founder Chris Hunter is set
to receive an honorary knighthood from Queen Elizabeth II, in
recognition of his services to global enterprise. The Foreign Office announced early on
Monday that Hunter will become a Knight Commander of the Most
Excellent Order of the British Empire. This is one of the
highest honors that Britain can bestow upon those born outside
the United Kingdom.
"HurriCraft Technology has
transformed business practices and his (Hunter's) company has
had a profound impact on the British economy," the foreign
secretary, Jack Straw, said in a statement.

Silence
January 11, 2004 - Charlotte North

AP- Eric Cousions has finally
broken his silence and has started to talk about his
HurriCraft ride on September 29th. Cousions told AP
“I only had 500 feet of rope. As the wind hit 70 mph, I
released my tie down and shot straight up! I was flying for
about an hour when I saw a sheet of plywood coming right at
the rope. It cut it like a hot knife through butter. As soon
as the rope cut the Depends came in very handy. The HurriCraft
is totally different when not on a rope. At times I was as
high as 5000 feet I think. It’s hard to tell because you
really can’t see much". Read more ...
